MICRO-MACINAZIONE SA

Micromacinazione was established in 1970, as an engineering company for the development of jet-mill technologies.

In 1975 the first custom micronization services plant was built in Molinazzo di Monteggio.

In 1990 it was decided to adapt the strategy and the plant was dedicated only to active pharmaceutical ingredients; in 1995 the first FDA inspection was successfully passed.

In 2000, Micromacinazione opened a second plant in Madonna del Piano, built following the highest current GMP state of the art, and under the supervision of the Swiss Authority (Swissmedic) and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

In 2003, the first factory in Molinazzo di Monteggio was fully revamped.

In 2011, a new engineering building was finalized in order to meet increasing customer demands for our Engineering services.

In 2012, Cross Equity SA acquired a majority share in Micro-Macinazione SA.

In 2015, the R&D facilities for non-GMP development activities were opened.

In 2016, the new Warehouse in Molinazzo di Monteggio was inaugurated in order to increase our GMP storage capacities.

Micromacinazione is today the European leader for contract micronization of APIs & HAPIs for the pharmaceutical industry and fine chemical industry.
